I have a bit of a dilemma. Um… would you hear me out?
A while ago, I wrote a post stating that from that point forward, I would no longer reblog pictures that didn’t have a source. Art theft hurts everyone involved, and, as an artist, myself, it doesn’t sit well with me to be sharing pictures and prose that don’t have a link back to the original artist.
But… I’ve discovered that it’s really, really hard to run an inspiration board blog like this one when you’re only reblogging pictures that are sourced properly.
This really bothers me. :S
(It’s probably why I haven’t posted much in the last year or so, too. I’m sorry!)
So, I’ve got a few options:
Delete/close this blog.
Change this blog to something else.
Ignore the fact that the pictures I’ll be reblogging are unsourced.
Gather a bunch of blogs and sites that source their stuff, follow them all, and use those to update this blog.
If you’d like a say in the decision I end up making, please let me know! I’d love to hear what you guys think. And if you have any blogs that you know always share their sources, I’d love to get some recommendations for those, too. <3
Thanks for listening! Hope you guys are having a wonderful day! c:
After walking through the snow for 30mins looking for a mailbox for my Xmas cards in 2009 and eventually finding one with a sign that said it was moving, I decided to create this map using Google Maps. The map is public and allows you to mark the location of any red mailboxes you know/find on it so that others who are looking for mailboxes can find them easily.
I realized how spotty mailbox placement was in my neighbourhood when I walked down Dundas St. to Adelaide and Dundas and there wasn’t one there - at one of the city’s major intersections.
